Hazen's Nellie is a lovely black filly who was born to our dark chocolate mare Nala on May 24, 2007. Her sire is Menifee Mountain Gambler, a gorgeous, award-winning foundation black Rocky stallion. Nellie’s dam and sire both come from old foundation lines: Nala’s lineage includes Kilburn’s Chocolate Sundown on the sire’s and dam’s side as well as Buddy Roe/Sewell’s Sam; Gambler’s lineage includes Buddy Roe/Sewell’s Sam and Dock/Choco and Sam Clemon’s Tim on his sire’s side, and Johnson’s Toby/Kilburn’s Chocolate Sundown/Tobe and Chocolate Drop/Tobe on his dam’s side.
Nellie has superb conformation and is already developing a long and impressive mane and tail. She often shows off her smooth Rocky gait while romping in the pasture. Nellie leads well; she also picks up her feet and stands quietly for the farrier.
Nellie is registered with the Rocky Mountain Horse Association. She is being offered at $3000.
